Mega Man meets…Cartman?

June 6th, 2009 by Reinier

A while ago I posted a hillarious take on Mega Man’s return to action in Mega Man 9.  Well he had some other videos as well, featuring “Cartman,” who causes trouble for Mega Man in one of the videos.  The other one crosses Mega Man into Sonic’s world, and we all know what Sonic does to robots…

What would you like to see posted here?

June 5th, 2009 by Reinier

I’m not sure if this site is dead or not, considering the owner hasn’t responded to me lately.  So I have no idea what’s going on.

But in case I decide to keep on posting anyway…what would you like to see on here?  Any advice for improvements?  I know there should be more reviews, but I can’t afford to buy games lol.

I just know there will be 100 comments telling me how to make my posts better.

For Those Who Love Video Game Soundtracks…

June 4th, 2009 by Reinier

I personally run a radio show at my local university where I play video game music, and a lot of my source material comes from ocremix.org.

They have a lot of Nintendo soundtrack remixes, as well as music from other games, so I highly recommend it if you love video game music.  Then again, if you love video game music, you’ve probably heard of this site already.

Final Fantasy IV - The After Years Gameplay Footage

June 2nd, 2009 by Reinier

I wanted to find a walkthrough video on Youtube that would show off the gameplay more closely than a trailer would, and this one was good at showing one of the caves.  From the looks of it, the music seems exactly like the original.  Although the graphics seem more clear and sharp, they still resemble the original as well, which isn’t a bad thing since they were going for a retro style sequel anyway.

Areas the Wii Needs Improvement

January 28th, 2009 by Reinier

1) Fix the online system!  PS3 has shown you can make an interactive online environment for free.  Nintendo seems to think the friend code system will protect little kids, but they’ve forgotten those kids use the internet unprotected anyway, so what’s the difference?

2) Deeper games are needed.  Where are all the RPG games?  Square should be on good terms with Nintendo by now.  Just because this is the Wii, doesn’t mean we should be stuck with an inferior Final Fantasy spinoff like that Chocobo Dungeon game.

3) Make it so the classic controller can plug into the Gamecube ports on top of the Wii.  This is insane, having to connect the classic controller to the remote in order to use it.  They can easily make the thing so it matches the Gamecube ports, while still keeping the same classic controller design.

4) Let us buy Wii points in smaller increments.  It doesn’t seem to matter if a game on WiiWare is 500 points because…no matter what I’ll have to spend at a minimum $10.00 for 1000 points!  That’s not how things work in a retail store.

5) Make it so people can attach an external hard drive to the USB port.  This would solve EVERYONE’S storage solution problem.  Those that don’t need a hard drive, well they are good then, they don’t need to buy it.

That’s it for now.  Maybe I’ll think of more ways the Wii can improve later on.
