Why be the questing hero when you can be the king arranging the quests? My life as a king turns the tables on the Final Fantasy formula, leaving the adventures to battle offscreen while you build a kingdom one structure at a time. Transforming barren fields into a bustling metroplis is as addictive as it is satisfying, and the production values are phenomental. The $15 price tag and $25 in optional add-ons may cause some sticker shock, but don’t let that dissuade you-you’ll get a lot of game for the money.
