N-Europe recently had an interview with developer BPlus on their new WiiWare-game PLÄTTCHEN. The name sure sounds pretty strange, but this title is more than interesting. This was one of the very first WiiWare-titles in development, and it’s been in development for more than a year. PLÄTTCHEN is a charming puzzle-shooter packed with loads of fantastic content.
In a recent interview, CEO Dave Roberts and co-founder John Vechey from PopCap Games talked about the new WiiWare Channel from Nintendo.
You’ll see, actually, in a couple of announcements that we’ll have later on in the year where we’ve done some pretty cool collaborations with a company that really, really knows the space really well, and we think the collaboration will hopefully make it more interesting.
They’re defintely working on something, but what is that mysterious company and what games would they be developing for WiiWare? They’ve done some nice things for Xbox Live in the past, so we’re extremely excited!

A portion of a GameSetWatch interview with Edmund McMillen, co-creator of Gish…
GSW: Has Reggie called you back yet? (in reference to the video where Edmund records himself attempting to contact the Reggienator)
EM: Heh, a few weeks after that video went up we got a call from Nintendo. It wasn’t Reggie but it was someone high up in the ranks there who wanted to talk about WiiWare, and we are still talking to him. That’s about all I can say.
Our goal is to get on all consoles, and we would love to launch on Steam… I can say we are currently talking to them all, but won’t have any info till we have Gish 2 further in development.
In Blue Oasis for WiiWare you control your own virtual aquarium. Change the background, add some decorations and choose the fish that swim around in your fish tank. This WiiWare-title contains fish food simulation and has different levels that follow the weather as reported in the Wii Forecast Channel. A relaxed sim like fishy game for only five bucks. Worth a shot!

The guys over at WiiWare-World did an interview with Big Blue Bubble CEO Damir Slogar. They asked some interesting questions about their upcoming WiiWare title Home Sweet Home.
A portion of a WiiWare-World interview with Big Blue Bubble CEO, Damir Slogar
DS: We will use the Wii remote in a quite unique way. In order to simplify the control scheme, we don’t require the nunchuk. Player will move and select the furniture and control the workers with the Wii remote. On the top of that, when the workers need help, player will be able to speed up the building process by helping them hammering the nails or painting the walls.
WW: Roughly how many hours of gameplay will Home Sweet Home provide?
DS: It is really hard to say. I saw people spending hours just designing their own room. Theoretically, you can finish the game in a few hours, but keep in mind that you can also finish the Super Mario Bros in 5 minutes!
N-Europe had an interesting interview with Lost Frontier, the developer of LostWinds for Nintendo’s WiiWare Channel.
