Hopefully, reviewing this game won’t be a waste of time.  In a sense it is, because Super Mario 64 is so legendary that one can’t imagine this game ever getting a poor review.  This game has legendary status up there with the likes of Super Mario Bros., Pac Man, and Pong.  Super Mario 64 set a standard for all 3d platformers to follow in its footsteps.  Well now that I’m done hyping this game up to incredible standards, let’s talk about what goes on while playing Super Mario 64.

Visually, although the polygons look a little dated to me by now, back in its day this was probably the standard.  Although some things look dated, everything still looks clean at least.  You can tell what’s ahead of you, what’s around you, and what you need to do for the most part.  This was the first Nintendo 64 game, so one can’t really fault the graphics here, because it was a first generation title in the console’s lifespan.
