Areas the Wii Needs Improvement
January 28th, 2009 by Reinier
1) Fix the online system! PS3 has shown you can make an interactive online environment for free. Nintendo seems to think the friend code system will protect little kids, but they’ve forgotten those kids use the internet unprotected anyway, so what’s the difference?
2) Deeper games are needed. Where are all the RPG games? Square should be on good terms with Nintendo by now. Just because this is the Wii, doesn’t mean we should be stuck with an inferior Final Fantasy spinoff like that Chocobo Dungeon game.
3) Make it so the classic controller can plug into the Gamecube ports on top of the Wii. This is insane, having to connect the classic controller to the remote in order to use it. They can easily make the thing so it matches the Gamecube ports, while still keeping the same classic controller design.
4) Let us buy Wii points in smaller increments. It doesn’t seem to matter if a game on WiiWare is 500 points because…no matter what I’ll have to spend at a minimum $10.00 for 1000 points! That’s not how things work in a retail store.
5) Make it so people can attach an external hard drive to the USB port. This would solve EVERYONE’S storage solution problem. Those that don’t need a hard drive, well they are good then, they don’t need to buy it.
That’s it for now. Maybe I’ll think of more ways the Wii can improve later on.
