Defend Your Castle is still selling like hot cupcakes, while other titles like LostWinds that get more gamer comments are ranked lower in the top 10 most downloaded WiiWare-games. Dr. Mario Online Rx doesn’t score bad, Family Table Tennis ended up on number ten in its first week.
Hudson is totally going WiiWare with their new Tetris title for the Wii’s downloadable games channel. Nintendo Power tells us that Tetris for WiiWare will feature a co-op mode for two players and a six player online versus play.
Ghostfire Games was so kind to let us know that today they have released a few new videos of their rhythm game for Nintendo’s WiiWare Channel. Helix uses two WiiRemotes to track the motions of your hands and features 26 songs and 3 difficulties. The music in the game has been gathered from independent musicians accros the US and Europe.
Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People will be coming out on both PC and Nintendo’s WiiWare and Telltale Games is having a nice contest. You have to go to Homestarrunner.com and try to make a Mii that looks like the site’s character. Three lucky folks get the first SBCG4AP (Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People) episode, Homestar Ruiner, comes out for the Wii.
Next week Japan is getting Saikyou Ginhoshi Shougi and Oekaki Logic for Nintendo’s WiiWare Channel. That last title is one of the first Nintendo WiFi Connection Pay to Play games for WiiWare. Further WiiWare releases haven’t been announced yet.
Beer Pong is a game that was invented on a college campus in the 80s and now it’s getting its own game on Nintendo’s WiiWare Channel. Frat Party Games is working on Beer Pong for the Wii’s WiiWare section featuring two competitive games. There’s the traditional tournament-style game for Beer Pong and Speed Pong.
